Daniel Rolph was born in Tunbridge Wells, England. At the tender age of two, he was placed into the UK care system, beginning a journey marked by both resilience and hardship. Adopted for 11 years, Daniel was re-entered into the care system at 13, experiencing firsthand the emotional and psychological challenges that come with such a turbulent upbringing.

Drawing from these deeply personal experiences, Daniel seeks to shed light on the realities of the UK care system through his debut novel, Shattered Paths.
